We are a family run business where the staff and the live-in members of the household are a family. Through experience and pure dedication, we have been able to devise the structure and program of the boarding and training facility to its utmost best. Our goals are to find ways in which we can improve in every aspect of the business. Every member of the staff has a stake in the growth and development of the facility. What we do is truly out of a labor of love.
What we love most are the relationships we have developed over the years. We love the relationships we build with not only the owners but with the dogs as well. We want the dogs to want to come to our facility. We want your dog to be excited to run on several acres of running space, out in the country. We get great pleasure in knowing that they are truly happy with us, not because we do all the things that they want us to do, but because they know and love us.
Meet The Owner
The author and owner of Margale Pet Resort started off as breeders of Golden Retrievers. As breeders, it was essential to show their Golden Retrievers to their championship so that they could selectively breed for the best quality. It also allowed them to associate and establish relationships with well experienced breeders and dog show professionals from all over the country.
Turning into professional dog show handlers themselves, they have extended their knowledge base from canine husbandry to dog training. Having purchased a beautiful property with a kennel license, they have broadened their capabilities as caretakers to a wide array of canine husbandry, for a variety of different breeds and mixes…………

As a professional pet sitter, I was nervous about boarding my puppy at a kennel as I am very picky about pet care but had to at the last minute due to a trip we needed to take. From my first phone call to our pick up, we were impressed with the service and facilities. They have us a tour in advance and right away, we noticed how happy the dogs seemed. No lunging and barking! The facilities were clean. Drop off was smooth and our puppy was happy getting to play with other puppies. When we picked her up, she seemed happy and Alan walked us through some of the training and socialization she received at no cost. When she got home, she was like a different dog. Not as hyper and no more potty accidents. I am impressed with the professionalism of Alan and his staff! I will be recommending them for people that contact me looking for a boarding facility.

Margale Pet Resort is amazing! Let’s start with the puppies. They had the cutest Golden Retriever puppies. I played with all of them and enjoyed their soft fur and puppy breath. So cute that all of them would have ended up in my car if I didn’t already have a dog who is extremely jealous.
The resort is fairly large, clean and nicely landscaped/organized. The various dogs that are boarded appeared well taken care of and their kennels were extremely roomy and clean. There is even a yard where they play.
They offer grooming and training. I believe you can purchase trained puppies (probably a long waiting list, given how cute those puppies were) or bring your puppy in for training.
The workers were nice and obviously love all of the dogs. I was really surprised that the workers knew all of the dogs’ names! Surprised because there were a LOT of dogs.
Overall, this is a great place to find a pup, get your pup trained and groomed, or have your pup do an overnight.

I boarded 3 of my dogs (AmStaff, American Bully and chihuahua) at Margale for 6 days and I honestly could not be any happier with the service my dogs and I received. The property is absolutely beautiful, all areas very clean and every single dog on the property looked 10/10 condition and all very happy. The staff is incredible, and definitely “dog people”- meaning they loved on our dogs in the way that I do. Kevin was amazing to work with, I felt safe knowing he took care of our pups and provided me with many updates via pictures AND video! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I will continue to use their services in the future for ALL of my boarding needs. If you are looking for a safe establishment, attention to detail, extremely kind and loving staff- this is the place for your pup!
